The World of Aera

Aera the Label is an Auckland-based fashion label creating contemporary garments through a made-to-order and bespoke approach. Founded by fashion designer Nana Doan, the label emerges from a background in art and photography, where each piece is created as an extension of experimentation, identity, and lived experience.

Aera draws from personal stories, connections and the complexities of everyday life. The brand exists as an alter ego, a place for vulnerability, growth and self-expression translating these ideas through texture, silhouette and form.

Alongside its made-to-order pieces, Aera offers bespoke and custom design services, from reimagining existing styles in new materials to developing original garments. Each piece created in collaboration with the wearer and crafted in-house from start to finish.
