General
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Aera the Label website and your purchase of products from us. Aera the Label is a fashion label based in Aotearoa New Zealand, operated by Nana Doan.
By placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.
Orders and Pricing
All prices on our website are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. We reserve the right to update prices at any time without prior notice. Any price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is not considered accepted until we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases where an item is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred, or we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund.
For custom or bespoke pieces, pricing and terms will be discussed and agreed upon individually before any work begins.
Payment
Payment is required in full at the time of purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards as indicated at checkout. We do not store your payment card details on our systems.
By submitting payment, you confirm that the payment method used belongs to you or that you are authorised to use it.
Shipping and Delivery
We offer shipping within New Zealand and internationally. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your location.
Processing and dispatch times vary depending on the type of item ordered:
- Pre-order items: Pre-order pieces are made to order and will ship within 3 to 4 weeks from the date of purchase. We will notify you by email when your item has been dispatched.
- One-of-one items: One-of-one pieces are ready-made and unique. These items will be dispatched within 5 business days of your order being confirmed.
Please note that delivery timeframes provided by courier services are estimates only and are outside our control. Aera the Label is not responsible for delays caused by courier services, customs processing, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Risk of loss and damage passes to you upon delivery. Please ensure your shipping address is correct at the time of checkout, as we cannot be held responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you wish to return or exchange an item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order by emailing aerathelabel@outlook.com.
To be eligible for a return or exchange, items must meet the following conditions:
- The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in its original condition
- All original tags must be attached
- The item must be returned in its original packaging
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or we have made an error with your order.
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Custom or bespoke pieces made to your specifications
- Items that have been worn, altered, or washed
- Items returned without original tags or packaging
- Items returned after the 7-day return window
If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please contact us immediately with photographs of the issue and we will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Aera the Label website, including but not limited to garment designs, photographs, graphics, logos, text, and brand identity, is the intellectual property of Aera the Label and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, display, or create derivative works from any content on this website without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.
Purchasing a garment from Aera the Label grants you ownership of the physical item only. It does not grant any rights to the underlying design, pattern, or brand materials.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, Aera the Label shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of our website or the purchase of our products.
Our total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific product in question.
Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded by law. Where our products are acquired for personal, domestic, or household use, the guarantees under the Consumer Guarantees Act apply and cannot be contracted out of.
Website Availability
We strive to keep our website available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The website may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the website being temporarily unavailable.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect when the updated terms are published on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the most recent revisions were made. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
